INTERIOR DESIGNER

With over 20 years of experience in Commercial Interior Design, I have worked in both Design & Build and Architecture as a Senior Interior Designer. For the last 15 years, I have specialised in office fit-out, working as a freelancer for Design & Build companies, many of which had previously been my competitors. I am able to seamlessly slot into a company, like an employee,  working with their ethos and style and can work independently, lead the process, or fit into any team as needed.  I can also make a good cup of tea!

Since Covid I have adapted my designs and working methods to produce hybrid office designs, not like before but in a new and exciting ways!

Working for a diversity of companies has given me a wide variety of experience, and this has significantly enhanced my design skills and abilities to communicate well. In addition, having designed for a breadth of clients from regional fit-outs to high rises in the city centre, from small to very large in size and budget, and all with differing styles, I have relished the challenge and enjoyed seeing successful result.

I have a passion for improving the client’s and landlords CAT+ workplaces. I work alongside the client to understand their ways of working; their needs and their wants, to  create a new workplace which enhances their working lives so they are proud of their office and love coming to work! I like to find a strategy, layout, solutions and style which suits the client and the building, rather than imposing a current trend. That said, I will always introduce the client to new ways of working, new technologies and contemporary styles to give them all the options. I am also able to work within brand guidelines,

set-style parameters to roll out their brand across several sites, for example co-working fitouts. 

In recent years I have been working with landlord's on CAT+ designs which then have carried through into common parts including building entrances and receptions, stairs, toilets and lifts.

I am used to working to the available budget and can both cut-back where required and add value and additions as each project develops. My aim is always to provide a stunning workplace even from humble beginnings!

Through the strong working relationships I have created with my clients, after the success of the initial project, I often find them keeping me on (and the Design & Build company) to work on both future projects or workplace strategy.
