my design process

My design process starts with by analysing how my clients work (and play). This allows me to produce designs that suit their needs and represent their vision and future goals as a company. For larger companies I have produced reports on their spatial usage and their HR strategy.

With the current Corona virius world in mind I will look with the client and the D & B company at strategy and intention for their office environment, considering access, usage, safety and purpose.

I will then move onto layout (with options) and style options, once I have an idea of their likes (no matter how small) I will develop a full design presentation with finishes, furniture, elevations and visuals (outsourced) and samples. The above can sometimes be concertined into a short couple of weeks if in a pitch/tender scenario. I am used to working closely with the estimating and project managers to ensure costings are accurate and design work is inline. I am happy to organise the full furniture package from quotation, to procurement and installation.

Following the client sign-off I will proceed to produce the full design package (drawing and schedules) working with consultants to ensure all the drawings etc are co-ordinated, this is often done at speed which I am used to.

Finally,  we reach site where I am at home working with the various contractors to ensure that the designs, budget and clients expectations are all met.  As mentioned I can manage the furniture installation as well as the decorative elements if required.
